Ruby on Rails Developer – London

Ruby on Rails Developer – London
June 2, 2017 orla

We are working with a well-funded startup based in London to hire a mid/senior Ruby on Rails developer to join their team.

This company has a white label platform that enables ecommerce websites to offer their customers loyalty features related to visits, engagement and purchases. In terms of stack they use Ruby on Rails and NodeJS on the back end, so ideally you should have strong Ruby on Rails experience, and a good working knowledge of JavaScript, though Ruby is the priority. Any experience with DevOps such as server setup, administration and tools such as Docker, would also be a plus.

You will need at least two years’ experience working on production web applications in Ruby. You will ideally be based in the company’s central London office, but they will also consider remote developers based in UK, who are happy to come into the office for planning meetings etc. You will be working in a development team of 4 developers and a designer, working closely with the CTO.

You’ll be working with large data sets, and integrating the Ruby and JS codebase with existing ecommerce platforms. You’ll need to be able to write clean, tested code to maintain, scale and develop new features for their existing product.

You will be provided with all the equipment you need to get the job done, as well as perks such as team lunches, drinks and regular team parties and events. There are also great development opportunities and flexible working options.

This is a great opportunity to join a growing startup, working on interesting technical problems in a great office environment.
